Mushroom Curry

The website got delayed so I decided to put up a couple of recipes here instead. This recipe is my grandmother’s recipe. It is really delicious and many non mushroom eaters have gotten converted after trying this dish out.

Ingredients

Mushrooms – 2 lb
Onions – 2 medium, chopped
Cinnamon stick – 1 inch piece
Ginger paste – ½ tsp
Garlic paste – ½ tsp
Cloves – 4
Milk – ¼ cup
Garam masala – ¼ tsp

Oil – 2 tbsp

Method

Heat oil in a pan and add the cloves and cinnamon. When the cloves start crackling add the onions and sauté till they become translucent in color.

Next add the ginger garlic paste and cook for another minute. Now add the mushrooms and cook on low heat for 5 min.

Then add milk and let it cook for another few minutes. Make sure the heat is on low or the milk will start to curdle.

Finally add the garam masala and cook for another minute.

Remove from heat and garnish with chopped cilantro before serving.
